My guest, Matador Travel co-founder Ross Borden, and I, will explore the world of freelance travel writing.  What’s Matador Travel? And what is the connection between travel writing and small business? I’m glad you asked.

Freelance writing is a great way for entrepreneurs and hired guns to make extra cash, underwrite trips, and get exposure.  Matador Travel’s Bounty Board matches professional and aspiring travel writers with “commissioned writing jobs open to anyone in the world!”

As a former editor at Harvard Student Agencies, which publishes Let’s Go! travel guides (and other publications) 

paid freelance opportunities.  In fact, I plan to snag some of the posted gigs, myself. 

Tomorrow’s my turn to host SCORE Radio: Counselors to America’s Small Business and my scheduled guest has dropped out. Ironically, I saw your craigslist ad today, which advertised the Bounty Board. 

Could that be fate? I think chatting with you and/or several writers on your site for 30 minutes would make for an interesting show.
